The violin

Abby got a chance to try out the violin this year. She loved it. Her instructor said that she was a very good student. He knows she would do well with any instrument she played.

Random pics

Today we went for a drive to look at land. Grabbed a few pics while we were out. I am playing with photoshop. The old one works fine, but I want the new one!

Buckle Fracture

My oldest daughter is always getting hurt. It doesn't matter if it is a tiny scratch or not, she will cry as if she has a broken arm. Well, Easter Sunday it was a buckle fracture. She fell while she was riding her scooter, and started crying. I always give her an icepack, and that made it feel better. Worried that it might be a sprain, I wrapped it. There wasn't any swelling, and she stopped crying. The next morning she was still whining about it, so I took her to the Urgent Care to get an answer.
She loves her cast. It is a badge of honor. This one time she was really hurt. I do not have any pictures of me in my cast. (More likely because of me) Abby, on the other hand, LOVES getting her picture taken. This is Abs in her cast. They didn't have a Camo cast, but green was just as good for her.

Two of a kind!

I have not been out taking pictures today. I decided to find a picture that was taken today. Out of the past 10 years, I could not find one picture taken on May 8th. This one of Dutchess and Molly was taken on May 9, 2002. There are others that were taken around May 8, but I really like this picture. Not that it is taken professionally, but just because it is of two great dogs. Mine, Dutchess, is the black lab. Mom's, Molly, is the yellow lab. It was within this last year that both dogs died. A real heartbreak for our family. I love this picture because it shows how happy they were. Labs are wonderful dogs. The dogs didn't mess up the fence. It was like that before we got there... I think. If I could clone a dog, I would have had Dutchess cloned. I am sure the same could be said for Molly.

Wilson Family

This is the beginning of my husband's family. His grandmother Wilson has a collection of pictures from the family. She took great care of her pictures. Geneology is something I like to look at every once in a while. It is normally one of the pictures that pulls me back in. Who is that? Where was the picture taken. I bet I can figure it out. That is what gets me started researching again. On the back of this picture is the list of who is in the picture. I use the Census and Ancestry.com, my favorite source, keeps me busy. I am currently putting pictures of the Wilson family into a book. When I will finish, I have no idea. Then I can work on my side of the family for a while!
